In Tidepool Lab, you are a researcher stationed at a lonely lighthouse, receiving strange marine specimens from a mysterious woman who visits from time to time. By combining these creatures, you can create entirely new specimens with unique bodies, colors, fins, eyes, tails, and other unusual traits.

Pursue increasingly rare specimens, discover unexpected mutations, or simply create the most interesting creatures you can imagine. The choice is yours.

There are no direct objectives in Tidepool Lab. Your goal is to experiment, discover new combinations, and breed specimens with increasingly rare traits and higher Genetic Values.

Whenever two specimens are combined, the offspring inherits characteristics from its parents. Each body part, including the body, fins, eyes, tails, and other features, also has a chance to mutate, creating entirely new possibilities.

To begin, select two specimens by clicking the "Select" buttons. Once both parents have been chosen, the Breeding Tank will become available and you can generate a new specimen.

CCadori is the name under which I create my games. I approach each project as an authored work, much like a piece of writing, where mechanics, spaces, and pacing exist to convey mood, ideas, and quiet questions.
